The Hollywood Masters”

The Hollywood Masters is a Loyola Marymount University’s School of Film & Television (SFTV) student and alumni produced interview series that launched in 2014 and was distributed to Netflix. Worked on every aspect of this successful school initiative, representing LMU to industry luminaries, overseeing the receptions with guests, marketing & publicity, photography, student crew, behind-the-scenes materials, and booked Geena Davis and Norman Lear as guests. The Hollywood Reporter posted videos from each event on their website, driving significant traffic to SFTV’s YouTube, and building SFTV’s brand.

Created the viral series “Small Talk,” interviewing the guests who came to campus about career advice, for The Hollywood Masters for social media content, generating over 40K views across Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube, raising awareness of LMU SFTV.

Film Outside the Frame

Annual Student Film Festival

Produced Film Outside the Frame annual student film festival held at Paramount. The event served as a student celebration, industry mixer, and engaged alumni and donors.

 
 
  • Led the creative and production strategy for the annual event, establishing a cohesive branded theme across all physical and digital touchpoints. Oversaw development of event collateral and printed program, including dean’s message and student features. Managed event operations team and creative vendors, including video, photography, and day-of logistics. Drove earned media coverage featuring notable alumni in industry trades and the LMU student newspaper.

  • Established processes to secure and leverage student work for institutional marketing. Oversaw annual video holiday card production featuring student projects, distributed broadly to alumni, students, staff, and industry partners.

  • Oversaw alumni engagement for the event, including content development for honorees and coordination of an offsite alumni reception.

 
 

UC Riverside
50th Anniversary: Ed Talks

Produced the UCR School of Education’s 50th anniversary event at UCR Barbara & Art Culver Center featuring a series of “Ed Talks,” short, engaging talks from current faculty engaged in research areas of neuroscience, the history of education, equity and access, and STEM. Worked with featured faculty, and UCR’s tech and video team to record and edit final videos that were included in our annual report and external communications.

Dr. Katherine Stavropoulos helps us understand what happens to the brain when individuals experience this phenomenon called “cute aggression.”

Land grant colleges are lauded for opening up access to higher education to more people, and have been referred to as “the people’s colleges.” But where did that “public” land come from? Dr. Margaret Nash argues that, as great as land grant colleges are, they also must be seen as part of the process of Western migration of (mostly) whites, and the appropriation of land from native peoples.

Big Brothers Big Sisters Sponsorship

LMU SFTV partnered with Big Brothers Big Sisters LA (BBBSLA) and The Hollywood Reporter for the Women in Entertainment Mentorship Program. The partnership began in 2013, and pairs BIPOC high school students with entertainment executive mentors. Select students are awarded 4-year scholarships to LMU, and to date, 28 young women of color have received full scholarships to LMU. All graduates have gone on to secure jobs or pursue graduate studies.

  • Led the annual partnership with The Hollywood Reporter, negotiating sponsorship terms and overseeing execution across print, digital, and event channels. Managed institutional representation at the Women in Entertainment Breakfast, including escorting the LMU President and SFTV Dean through the event and red carpet. Directed delivery of all sponsorship assets, including on-site branding, video placements, print and digital advertising, branded giveaways, and photography supporting scholarship announcements and graduate program promotion.

  • Led an on-campus engagement event for students and mentors, coordinating academic, admissions, and leadership participation, and overseeing content capture for marketing use.

  • Served as PR lead for the initiative, developing press materials and managing on-site media relations at the Women in Entertainment Breakfast. Cultivated relationships with media partners to secure coverage, coordinated photo assets for press and social use, and authored institutional communications announcing the award. Partnered closely with The Hollywood Reporter and High Ten Media marketing and publicity teams to align messaging and amplification.
